I purchased this hat for my husband, who has been wearing a similar style for years. He demands the ear flaps! We weren't able to find many of these in the stores around us; many of them looked similar but were made with lightweight fabric or no flaps. I decided to take a chance on this one.

It is, in fact, up to DH's standards. The hat itself is sturdy, with lots of insulation. The earflaps are also substantial. He likes it so much that we're ordering a back up! The only detail would be that this does run a little small. We used the sizing chart to order, and the hat is snug. DH is convinced it will stretch a little, though, so is very happy.

I found this to be a smart stylish cap and the ear flaps fold inside when it is not too cold. But the ear flaps are not big enough to cover the ear fully.

This was the brown version of the same hat I already had in gray. Seemed a little too "crisp" as received but running through the laundry a couple times softened it a little. I ordered a large which usually fits a little tighter.

The hat is plenty warm but appears to run small . I have similar hats in large that fit without the tightband around the head feeling. Although I would like to it is impossible to wear as suggested with the earflaps up tucked into the hat, it won't go on my head. Well constructed warm hat, I would defiantly upsize one for a comfortable fit.

I didn't like the style mainly because the front was too wide. It is also a little tight fit but XL was ok for me.
