After trying several solutions, this is what I am using for my credit cards. A few caveat, though. The "bungee cord" is a continuous loop rubber band inside, thread outside thing that holds the cap on. You cannot remove the cap. You stretch the band to move the cap aside. As soon as you let go it will flip back into place. The green case is cast aluminun and it seems very strong. So do the plastic caps. I'm surprised that some of my fellow reviewers reported breakage. They must have worked hard at that. I have 6 credit cards to put in it. It might hold one or two more. Any more than that and they would be jammed. Sometimes one card gets stuck because the bottom fixed plastic piece has grabbed it. Shaking the case before I open helps that. Also I make sure that my more frequently used cards are inside the stack. I believe that the case provides good shielding against remote RFID readers. The cards do not rattle much when I walk around with the case in my pocket. Some other cases sound like I have a half empty box of hard candy. This is the best credit card carrier I have found thus far. And the price is certainly right.

March 30, 2013 Update

I have now had this for well over a year. I still use it every day. I have dropped it many times and it is still intact. I now have two credit cards with RFID chips in them. I put one in the case by itself. The reader could not read it even a half inch away. The plastic caps on either end probably can't stop radio waves. I shook the credit card to either end and the reader still did not see it. I took the card out and the reader then scanned the card from about one inch away. That part above where I said the holder could grab one card... it seems to have gone away. Cards never get stuck any more. I guess something wore down a bit to give more clearance. I still recommend this product.

A friend of mine had one of these wallets about 7 years ago and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I asked him where he got it and he said it was from some random store so I was excited when I got on Amazon and found it. Best thing about this wallet is it is SLIM! I've never been one for the bi-fold/tri-fold wallets because they just seem so big and bulky. This thing is great because it holds credit cards perfectly (there is a little room from top to bottom and while walking it might make a clunking sound if it is in your cargo pocket but I have fixed that by crushing a tiny bit of a paper towel on either end). As far as holding money, my umbra wallet is full of credit cards so I keep cash in my pocket and 99% of my purchases are paid for by card anyway. The elastic band is very durable, but mine is starting to show a little slack in it as of late. Keep in mind I have had mine for 5+ years and the reason why it has started to stretch out is because my work pants have 1 tight pocket that I keep it in and when I have been pulling it out it snags. I absolutely LOVE this thing and I am going to buy a second one because 1. these things are very cheap 2. the plastic cover on the top on one side has cracked a bit and I feel that for the $5 I have paid for it, it is well worth another purchase.
