The Hat was shipped in a box smaller than its size, it was forced to fit inside this small box and was bent on the sides and top, this made the hat useless.

Not through Amazon. Like another review, mine arrived crushed into a too-small box. The hat itself is fine, I like. The suggestion of creating vents with a soldering pin! There's nothing better than this hat for sun or rain, with it's wide brim. But buy it at (or online from) Boot Barn.

Ordered (2) of these hats. The brand/style of the hats is great. They are the only ones my husband wears. When received, one was all bent up and the other was shipped almost rolled up and had been rolled so tight it had a tear in it. Hats were returned immediately for a refund. Will reorder from somewhere that can ship them properly.

The hat was delivered when I wasn't home. When I saw the package on the porch I wasn't sure what the heck was in it. The box looked as though it had either been kicked down the road or dragged behind the truck. The top of the box was even torn open as if someone checked to see if there was actually something in the box. I had read the reviews before ordering the hat so I held my breath until it arrived. Fortunately the hat was in perfect shape. I don't know how, but it was undamaged. The seller would do well to invest in some boxes appropriate for the product. The one used for my hat might have done well for a shirt box...........maybe, but it's not suited for hats at all. I wear the hat all the time. Very nice. The box barely made it to the dumpster without collapsing.

The brand Resistol is synonymous with quality hats if they are packaged well and handled with care. I received the hat in a box that had no physical damage apparent and yet when I removed the hat it was bent in places to almost being creased which would have been catastrophic. Now I have to learn to shape a hat to try to remove the misshapen areas.

The packaging needs help. The hat needs to be more secure in the box and be supported fully.
