Really fine hat, well made and very comfortable, it folds up so it can be stuffed into a bag or jacket pocket, and pops back into shape looking perfect. I love Mine.

This hat is great. For 60 bucks you get your moneys worth. The material is actually leather (was actually expecting fake leather but this company doesn't jack around). It is durable and folds up and unfolds with ease. Wasn't exactly happy with the tacky hat band on it being sewn to the hat and not easily removable or exchangeable but it isn't stitched on with so much stitching as to be a pain if needed to be removed. My girlfriend says it is really gay but what does she know, she's a chick.

The hat is awesome and perfect except for no strap. I live around water and will lose hat if no strap. I just bought a leather shoe lace and sewed it in. Other than that it is supper. It keeps out the rain looks real good and is worth the money easy. Buy it, you will be surprised.

I had purchased a BROWN KANGAROO hat from Barmah and was so satisfied that I purchased this BLACK COWHIDE hat also.

While the kangaroo hat is lighter/thinner, the cowhide is thicker.

They say its crushable but it looks so nice that I would rather not, so cannot comment on that aspect.

I treated the kangaroo hat w/nikwax and this cowhide w/kiwi leather waterproofing spray; both treatments for additional waterproofing and leather protection. Will need to sew in a chin strap at some point.

When considering a leather hat, there is nothing close in terms of quality/style.

My head is right on the line between medium and large (Size 7). I purchased the (Large) and it fit perfectly! I just returned from a trip to: Utah, Wyoming, South Dakota, and Colorado. The hat wore great! It provided good shade and kept me cool, even at high-noon. Soft, Light weight, looks great, and feels great!
