I own many styles of Kangol's and wish there were more reviews on them on Amazon. It's tough to know how a Kangol is going to to fit ahead of time since you usually can't go to your local shopping mall and try on all their styles, especially the more obscure ones like this one. I own the Kangol Lite Felt Pork Pie in dark grey, size Large. I'm normally a 7 3/8 in New Era 5950 baseball caps if that helps.
This hat is nearly identical to the Bailey of Hollywood Darron Pork Pie. The Darron fit me a lot tighter/ smaller so I returned it and kept this Kangol instead.
The shape is very cool and clean-looking. The top telescopes up and a little bit in/ narrows toward the top. This is in contrast to the Kangol Mowbray which is more direct-upwards, without the slant-in at the top. I prefer this Lite Felt Pork Pie over the Mowbray and think it looks better.
The material is wool felt, which feels more like felt. It is a very nice, luxurious fabric. It keeps its shape well, without being stiff. It says that it is packable, and shower-able, but I would avoid doing either for fear of long-term damage. It is a winter hat obviously, but it's not unbearably thick.
I have found that the sizing on Kangol's is generally consistent. Usually I wear a Large and Kangol's almost always fit properly. I have not always had the same luck with Bailey of Hollywood or Goorin Brothers.
The brim is pretty much set-in-stone. You're not going to be able to flip it down fedora-style, nor should you.
If you were hoping for the cool, classic kangaroo logo somewhere on the hat, it's not there. There's an ovular metallic tab on the left side, but it's a tad big for my taste. That's probably only my one real complaint with the hat.
Also, the rise of the hat is quite shallow, to keep that authentic pork pie look. I end up popping the top up a bit because it is so shallow. It doesn't look that bad, but just something to mention.
Overall though, I really like this Lite Felt Pork Pie. I wish it cost a little less though as I would love to pick it up in more colors. A very cool hip hat. Recommended. I only wish it were colder here in Arizona, so I could wear this hat more often!

While visiting Santa Barbara a few months ago, I came across this hat in black and really liked it, so I bought it although it was a little large. As it turns out, I rather like it this size because that day, my hair was cut quite closely and subsequently grew out resulting in a perfect fit. I paid $75. I receive so many compliments on the hat, so I decided to order in in tobacco. Will probably get the dark grey one later. It's a very cool hat, In my opinion. ;-)
