I think so highly of Hold-Up suspenders that I will probably no longer bother to have a tailor put buttons on my casual and dress slacks.
I have five pair, and the oldest has seen two years of at least weekly wear. The elastic in them still seems just as resilient and tight as when they were new, and the amazing thing is the fasteners (which is what makes them special) absolutely keep a firm grip under stress on my slacks.
These are 3-point (sometimes called "Y" type suspenders) which I've always preferred to the 4-point (two attachments in back) type.
The picture does not do justice to just how dressy this pair of suspenders looks -you could wear them with a tuxedo just as easily as a cumberbund. From the picture I was somewhat ambivalent about the pattern looking at it online, but trust me, these can make a very elegant touch to a black or charcoal suit.
