I have just ordered one of these to replace one that I bought sometime in 2000 or 2001 -as the hat has aged, I have looked and looked to find one that fit my small (for a man) head so well, and have been continuously disappointed. I really just got lucky with the original purchase -I'd gotten used to most caps being baggy on my head, and just picked this one because it didn't have a plastic or cardboard insert at the forehead, forcing it to stand upright and look even sillier on my head. But, in the end it turned out to be the best fitting cap I've ever owned, and it's been very durable as well.

I'm actually amazed at how well made this cap is. I have worn it while cutting grass, blowing snow, and just about any other activity you can think of during the past 10 years, and it's really put up with it well. About a year ago it started transitioning into having the "distressed" look that many caps have when brand new these days, and after a recent wash it finally started coming apart in the front.

I was sure I'd never be able to replace it, since I've never been able to find one like it in a store after my original purchase -it was a lucky purchase when I found myself vacationing at the beach without a cap.

Thanks to google and amazon I've got another one on its way to me right now -I can't recommend this cap strongly enough.

I have a small head and most hats come down too far and cover my ears and interfere with my glasses. The only thing that would make this hat better would be if it came in smaller sizes or youth sizes and not the one size fits all. I have a fair amount of excess in the back where I pull my ponytail through, after sizing it to fit my head. It kept my head cooler than some of my other hats and didn't make my head itch as I got warm and sweaty working in the yard.

My order finally came, although NOT UPS as was said by seller, instead it came USPS.

This hat IS comfortable, however the color was not the same as advertised.

I ordered black, what showed up was supposed to be black, yet looked grey/charcoal, so buyer beware.

I have 4, they are well made and fit great! Love all the colors! ;-) These also have the leather in the back to tighten or loosen..

I have what i consider an average size head, but this hat sits too low on my head, so the point where it touches my ears and make them stick out. Perhaps I am misunderstanding the term "low profile" but to me a low profile cap means it has shallow panels. Fit aside, I like the 2-tone color scheme, leather adjustment and brass hardware. I wish I could wear this hat, but it's too large for me.
