this hat is amazing in hot weather when I need to cool off. I simply wet it down with cold water and put it on. Keeps my head cool for about 30 to 45 minutes and I simply wet it down again. The delivery and process was simple and quick. I would recommend this product to anyone and have already.

This hat is seriously comfortable, and I've NEVER been a hat person. Soaking it and wearing it doesn't have as dramatic effect as you'd think (especially if you shake off the excess water so as to avoid looking like a sweaty pig), but it does cool your head for a while and keep you more comfortable. The brim is the perfect length away from your head--provides shade and sun blockage without getting in the way. It's shockingly light on your head--you may even forget it's there.

I do wish the braid was a little more subtle, and I could definitely do without the little metal oval on there that has a kangaroo symbol and the words "AUSTRALIA" on there. I also feel like this hat doesn't require that much material so the profit margin on these have to be huge. But that said, it seems like this whole thing is run by a small business owner who probably has a lot of overhead to get these made, so I can't really complain. Plus, this hat is so amazingly comfortable and useful that I'm happy to pay it, and it seems well-made enough that it'll last for a while.

Overall it's an incredible hat, and I wish they sold these in stores near me. I actually have placed an order for a more normal looking hat from the same company, so that I can wear it out in real life.

A word of caution--I think that pearl white looks the best and matches most of my golfing clothes (which is what I use it for, I can't get away with this hat off the golf course). But it does show dirt, especially from taking it off and putting it on with a sweaty dirty golf hand. Good news is, you can wash it right out in the sink.
