It covers my ears completely and keeps my head warm when I snowboard. Even on the ski lift when the wind blows pretty hard, my head stays warm. But I rarely go anywhere further North or West of PA (meaning, it does not get too cold... frostbite is rare here)

I like the feel and comfort of this hat and it looks pretty cool too!

Could be a tad warmer for very cold and/or windy conditions.

I often wear a tight fitting skull cap underneath this and the combo is pretty warm.
