Some brands of socks state that they have cushion soles; not when ompared to Dickies steel toe crew sock. WalMart used to carry this brand of sock; that is where I first bought this brand. But WalMart no longer carries this brand, so I had to start hunting for them elsewhere, but to no avail. I finally thought of checking Amazon (being a PRIME member I should have thought of this earlier). The toe cushioning is just the right amount---makes steel toe boots more comfortable, but not so much that I wouldn't be able to wear them under my cowboy boots also. I have flat feet and the cushioned sole makes standing on my feet more comfortable. These socks last far longer than any other brand that I have owned. I wear them under my snow boots during the Nebraska winters and my feet stay warm; but these socks also are comfortable in the sweltering heat of a Nebraska summer.I just got through ordering a couple more pair of these socks to make sure that I have have extras on hand.

I've been searching for a sock for two years that does not fit too tight and this is it. Plus it has plenty of extra cushion which along with my heavy soled shoes has eliminated the pain from my mortons neuroma. I wear size 13 shoes and have spent a lot of money testing various socks trying to find a comfortable sock that does not cut off my circulation. Manufacturers seem to be cutting back these days and make socks a little bit smaller and use less material. But not with this sock. This sock fits loose from heel to toe and is just snug enough on the calf to hold it up. It also does not shrink after washing. The perfect sock.

By the way, don't bother with the king size or size 13 socks. I've tried a few different brands and the heel to toe length is no different than the 6-12 socks. They just add an extra inch or two to the calf length to make the sock longer.

The individulally packaged pairs of Dickie steel toe socks are among the best on the market. Once I tried them, they have become my sock of choice. I also like the Dickie quarter length steel toe sock. (I've never tried the Dickie "bulk packaged" (6-pairs) socks, so I can't speak for their comfort or durability.)
