I am a male flight attendant. I was looking for the perfect hat to protect my head from the sun when walking, running and hanging around outdoors. It has a folding bill that allows me to wad it up and throw it in my suitcase without worrying about messing up the shape of the hat. This hat will fit in your pocket because it is so flimsy. I need a big hat to fit correctly. My head measures 22 & 3/4 inches. I bought the LARGE. It is a FITTED hat. This hat fits just right. The hat fits close down on your head. It doesn't fit like a ball cap. It sort of looks like a hat a bicycle rider would wear. The picture shows the hat looking like a ball cap but it doesn't fit that way. It's almost like wearing a bandana with a bill.
