Bought this hat for a cowgirl costume it's cute and fits well. It was just what I needed to be a rootin'-tootin' wild west cowgirl. Keep in mind, it IS a costume accessory or child's toy it is not for everyday wear or actual cowgirls/cowboys. It is made of felt and treated well I think it will last a while, but in the hands of a kid playing, it might fall apart at some point.

Purchased for our kids' dress up trunk. Fits an adult, but great for the kids. It says felt, but the material is stiff (in a good way) and kind of molded, so the shape isn't going anywhere. It is just perfect for dress-up, and would work well for an adult costume. Very pleased, recommend highly.

I expected it to be a soft flexible felt. Something you could wear. Especially since the advertising photo shows a guy wearing it. But it is very hard and rigid. You might be able to use it as a prop or country decor. But not as a part of a costume.

I just needed a cheap cowboy hat for Hallowe'en, but something that wasn't straw or plastic. At this price a "brown felt cowboy hat" seemed like a bargain. When it arrived I realized that this hat is definitely made to be part of a costume and not for regular everyday wear. The material is stiffer and coarser than you would expect when you think of felt, and the edge of the brim is lined with the cheapest of plastics. Still, it's fairly well-made. It has crisp edges, well sculpted contours, the perfect "cowboy hat" shape and it's durable. For it's price it's definitely superior to the straw or woven plastic hats I was offered by helpful friends. So, keeping in mind that it's really part of a costume I heartily recommend it.

Just as a warning (nothing more)...

I didn't buy this item, but according to the seller's website the size is listed as 22 1/4. If this is the case then the hat size (in US) is 7. Seven equates to 22 1/4 for men and 22 in. for women and 56 in metric as per . Size is important when it comes to hats. Not too loose and not too snug.
