Let me start by saying this is my 5th leather cap I've purchased. The first was from Wilson Leather and was awesome but twice the cost of this one. The second two were budget hats and unwearable. I gave one away and still have the other one in a bag, years later. The third was from a local store and was the same price but better than this one.

Now this hat. When I opened it, I was pretty irritated because the two front panels are backed so they are nice and sleek. The other panels on the hat are not lined and are pretty crumpled. There was/is a big crease down one of the two front panels. So one looks fine. The other looks creased. I requested a return until discovering Amazon closes accounts for too many returns. So while I don't love this hat, I'm keeping it. I figured it was a gamble anyway when ordering it.

To help try to get some of the crease out, I steamed the underside of the crease for a couple of seconds. Some did come out. So maybe more will come out over time. But the quality is just not there in this hat. For $20, it's fine. For $40, it wouldn't be worth it Had it not had this crease, I'd have given it an additional star.

The back closure is velcro and is stamped with "USA" but is not colored. So it's not that noticeable.
