I wear these while mowing 3 acres of wooded property using a walk behind string mower which produces unbelievable amount of dust and debris. These work well although I hope I don't forget I have one on if I have to stop and go to the bank for something.

These are the same consistency as a dusk mask. They do NOT stretch and the term 'sock' is misleading. They may be water resistent. They may be warm. But, unless you are painting, this is very likely NOT the item you want. Just be clear on what it is.

This advertised SOFT-STRETCH latex-free elastic nonwoven fabric: FEELs like PAPER & does NOT stretch. Water RESISTant? That is extremely DOUBTable.
