I spend lots of time in the wild areas taking nature pictures in all types of weather. This is a great hat for rain or sunshine. I've had mine for several years. My grandkids know it as Pawpaw's swamp hat. My dog even recognizes that when I put this hat on, we're soon to be off for an adventure. It is very well made and I thought very reasonably priced. After several years of regular use, it's not completely waterproof, but it must really rain for a long time before the water soaks through. The brim is big enough to shield my eyes from the sun when taking pictures. . . I really like this hat. It's almost a part of me.

I work in the rain. This is the second one of these of the same size I've ordered. The only reason this hat didn't get 5 stars is there is a big size variation in the x-tra large size. The second hat was much looser fit than the first.

LOVE this hat. I live in Washington so we get a lot of rain. I went on a strenuous 8 mile hike up a mountain on a very rainy day and this hat kept my head dry. The water ran right off the brim and stayed on my head with the harsh winds.

The hat fit perfectly and looks great. It also repels water well, which is why I bought it. I like to have a hat to wear in the rain when I walk to the mail box to get the mail. This hat makes me look cool doing that. Ha. It really is a good hat and does just what was advertised. I recommend this hat.
