The Brixton Fiddler hats are of excellent quality and are Brixton's examples of the famous Fiddler's Hat made in Greece, but if the customer can't get a hat that fits properly, then they probably won't wear it, and they won't give good appraisals to their friends, and they won't be back to buy again.
There are three major faults that are truly annoying on this page, and since I purchased the Khaki/Charcoal Canvas Fiddler, I will instead use a site that has been much more informative on this matter for any further purchases of Brixton products:
1. The color specified for my hat was Khaki, and that is what the picture shows it to be. If that isn't the color Khaki being shown then I will eat my... Well, you know the saying. What I actually received is not Khaki, but a light Olive Drab instead. Exactly what I didn't want! As I stated, this is Brixton's example of the Fiddler hat so it lacks some of the character of the original from Greece, such as the traditional high crown in the front. The hat I received was also too big, which is what I will explain next.
2. The variation in head sizing methods is a shambles. In my opinion there is only one true sizing method and I have found the European method of using centimeter measurements to be the most accurate, and American sizing using 6 through 8 is almost as reliable and I'm glad when hat builders use either of these two methods for specifying hat size. Unfortunately Brixton does not, and when buying online you give up the ability to find a properly fitting hat before purchasing it. One hat company's Medium is not another hat company's Medium, and apparently there is no standardization being enforced within the industry to remove all the ambiguity from the size specifying process. Many buyers would prefer to absorb the loss and keep the hat that doesn't fit them properly rather than pay the exorbitant shipping costs that sometimes amounts to more than the price of the hat. Of course Amazon will take returns and pay for the return shipping, but many of the Marketplace Vendors will not. I suspect it is also the vendors who have listed all the information for this page.
3. In one place the specifications say the hat is wool and in another place the page lists the hat as being constructed of all cotton.
You might save some money at Amazon if you have all the correct info and know exactly what you are purchasing, but you probably won't always be getting accurate info from these pages. Do all that researching at a reliable source you can trust. In fact then buy from them. They deserve the business for all the effort they made providing all the correct information.

I recently found out my hat size is almost exactly 7 1/4 inches. Got the medium, appears to be true to fit lil snug at first, but already breaking in seems like the perfect fit.Make sure when buying hats that they are using the same sizing system a medium in one brand is a large in another etc, etc...
Nice naval logo on the inside of the cap, coloring is same as picture, nice herringbone texturing on the bill. A few stray strands of fiber, but nothing egregious.
Fits great, looks good, I'm happy with my purchase!
