Although I ordered a black version, the olive showed up. No matter, I wasn't really sure I wanted the black one and really like the olive one. The size is dead on. I took a piece of string and wrapped it around my head just above the ears, and measured the length. I ordered the appropriate size and it fits snugly but not too tightly. I like the fact that the brim goes all the way around. I have another hat that is a similar style to this but instead of the brim going all the way around it disappears into the neck flap. This design looks much much much nicer. I have a long neck and the flap is long enough to completely cover it and the brim is sufficient to keep the sun off of my face and ears. I have not worn it in windy conditions, so I have not needed to snug up the cord under my chin. Even if I bend over and shake my head the hat will not fall off. For years I've been using a lifeguard hat for sun protection. This is definitely an upgrade. Thanks.

This is a quality hat, materials and construction are excellent particularly considering the pricing. Sizing was perfect and as it was described. For what I wanted this for, I love it. Purchased to use during yard work for sun protection in a high UV area of the west. Very satisfied.
