Surprisingly warm, this is a water resistant, great outdoor cap for mid fall to mid spring. While heavy duty material, leather trim with a fleece liner, it doesn't feel terribly heavy while wearing. The brim is on the flat side (working it in is a little tougher since it is still too warm in PA to wear it much). The adjustment strap is like a belt, and the holes are a little spread out. I tend to wear my hat a little loose, so it works for me. If you prefer a snug, perfect fit, and often readjust the strap, you may have to punch another hole. Very happy with the price, purchase, and service.

Why I purchased this hat?

I was looking for a dark brown hat that was more than just another plain brown hat. I saw this and I really liked the touch of leather and the buckle-type strap in the back.

Quality:

I definitely was not disappointed with the quality of the hat. The stitching was well done, the top point of the hat was also made of leather, and the inside of the hat was warm and cozy.

The Look:

This is what made me return the hat. The picture shows the front bill of the hat curves like a baseball hat, but it's not really curved. It's actually straight flat. Even when I tried to curve it inward, after a few seconds it would start to drift back to that flat shape. This seems to be the case with these kind of "flat bill" hats. If you want that natural baseball curve to your hat, you must buy one that is made with a curve.

Another thing I did not like about this hat is that the front face of the hat does not have support. What I mean by that is that this hat does not have something to maintain it's "sphere-like" shape of the front top part of the hat. This is not an issue within itself, however, due to the unique look of the hat it kind of looks like one of those green, Hipster, military hats which is what I DO NOT want to look like. This is more true when far away but when you get closer you can make out the detail of the hat so long as people are paying attention.

The Rating:

I'm giving this hat a 3 out of 5 because the picture is deceiving and it looks a little too "hipster" for my taste. This hat is of high quality and does look unique though. Just know that this is a flat-bill hat and the leather around the rim might look a little bit too shiny for you.

I bought this for my hubby who shaves his head. He usually wears a leather ball cap that he has worn so much it is like an old friend. Well, now that the temps have started dropping a little, looks like he has a new bestie. The fleece inside is so soft. Can't wait to see how it holds up against snow in the Sconie winters. Now that he's getting the bill molded the way he likes it, I think it is my favorite looking hat on him. Great job on picking a birthday present this year (patting myself on the back)!
