This is a cool east-coast style cap, and I love it even though I live in California. The 40% wool blend is the perfect weight for the fall months in colder climates, or year round wear in California. The cap sets secure on your head during most any activities or weather conditions, and doesn't have the over-size too-wide feel top and bill that many scally style caps seem to have. Goes great with almost any style of gress. I wearr it with blue jeans and t-shirt, as well as slacks and a nice black leather jacket.

If you gew up in an east coast, or even a western Pennsylvania / eastern Ohio immigrant/working class family like I did you'll likely be drawn to this classic style. Sizing is accurate. but if you're like me and prefer a really tight/snug fit, consider selecting the smaller size if tour normal size is one of those "in between" sizes. Example: I normally wear a 7 1/4, but opted for the Medium size instead of the large. I would definately recommend this product.

With the winter months approaching I decided to buy my first flat cap. With so many styles I didn't know where to start and thought the price was reasonable to give it a try. The order arrived about 8 days before I the date I was given. The seller even included a HAND-WRITTEN thank you card for my business. I have never received such personable service with any vendor on Amazon. I just really can't express how much that impressed me.

As far as the hat goes, I have a small head and the Small/Medium fits very well. The bill may be a bit longer than I wanted, and does have a hint of duckbill that I was trying to stay away from in a flat cap. However, the look and feel of the hat make it a stylish addition to any outfit. As a person that likes baseball caps, I think I may switch to flat caps because they just look so sophisticated.
