To start with, there is a plus to this cap. It is the best looking watch cap that I have seen for sale, and this is worth points. However, a watch cap is something one wears in cold weather, but the fabric used to make the crown is paper thin, too thin to act as insulation. Also, it is only 35% wool (the rest is polyester), which is not stated in the product description, and the picture makes the brim look like it will come lower over the ears without unrolling the brim then it actually does. So not much of what one would want from a winter hat.

IN PERSON THIS CAP HAS ALL THE RUGGED GOOD LOOKS OF A CROCHETED TOILET PAPER ROLL COVER AND FITS ABOUT AS WELL. IT HAS A RIDICULOUSLY LARGE FOAM BRIM THAT IF YOU ADD DRIED FLOWERS AND A VEIL, YOU WOULD LOOK LIKE AUNT BEA GOING TO MEETING. I HAVE A HUGE HEAD, 7 7/8" AND THIS THING FLOATS AND LOOKS LIKE A FELT TURBAN. I TRIED TO SHRINK IT BUT ITS NOT WOOL LIKE THE TITLE IMPLIES ITS SOME POLY/WOOL BLEND THAT JUST LOOKS LIMP AND HAS ZERO HEAT RETENTION THAT US BALD GUYS LOOK FOR, ESPECIALLY WHEN BUYING A WINTER CAP. THE BEST THING I CAN SAY ABOUT THIS HAT IS THAT IT PHOTOGRAPHS WELL IN THE AD AND CAN BE USED TO COVER YOUR EXTRA TP ROLLS.

This "wool" cap has about as much wool in it as the lint in my belly button; flimsy polyester mostly. I think I will return it and continue to search for a replacement for my wonderful Nike wool watch cap. On the plus side, it is put together well

This hat is perfect for the winter weather conditions in Northern California. Doesn't shrink when wet. Wore it all winter without anything but complements. Bought one for my son and he likes it too.

This cap photographs well, but not great to own or handle. The brim is literally a piece of foam covered in extra fabric to match the top part of the cap. It also has a weird blend of materials so when you get a bit of water on the hat, it leaves a wet trail mark wherever you touched it... even if you've just washed your hands and are positioning your hat.

I wouldn't recommend this cap to anyone. It's cheap and feels cheap.
