The description of this hat is dead-on. Light weight, comfortable, keeps its shape well, keeps the sun off your ears, neck, and face, is sized accurately, and looks good. With the shading and ventilation, my head actually stayed cooler than without a hat (unlike wearing a ball cap). While I've only had it for a month, I've used it for yard work, spend a sunny day at an amusement park, went on several day hikes, and attended a few barbecues. It worked well in all. I got the gold, which is more of a medium brown (which was fine with me). 2 minor issues 1) while the description states it is crushable, doesn't really seem to be, and 2) I didn't have any issues with the hat blowing off, but it could use a chin strap (which is easy enough to do with a hole punch, a few rivets, and a leather strap). Henschel and others make similar breezer styles with a chin strap, but more Aussie type, and I wasn't looking for an overly wide brim. I'd buy it again.

This hat fits well and liked to brim size. The 2 1/2 inch brim is not to small and not to large. I have another one with a wider brim but I prefer this size. Well make but costs a little to much but I guess you get what you pay for.

My husband loves Henschel hats and this one is no exception. However, we did have to send it back because it was too big. He always wears a "large" in hats and he owns three other Henschel hats and they're all larges. But this particular hat was way too big and we had to return it. But he's still a fan of Henschel hats and will reorder soon.

Honest reviews on Low Crown Hiker Hat

I normally wear a 7 1/4 (large). I have a Baileys wool fedora (L), fits perfect. I have a Henschel fedora (L), fits perfect. However, this Breezer in (L) fits like an XL. Not sure yet whether I'll exchanged it for a (M). Other than the size issue, it's a nice hat for the price, particularly being made in USA (kudos).

Wish it had a lanyard for he windy days, though. Quality is great. Keeps the sun off and lets the breeze in.Awesome hat.
