Quality: When I got it the first thing I noticed was how light it was, in fact it felt lighter than my original maglite bezel. I was a little concerned with this because of the supposed improved aluminum; used which originally I thought meant a denser metal but it could just be different alloys/treatment.
Fit: Not it does lock down tightly and fits the original bezel but not perfectly. My original bezel screwed on smoothly but this one took some effort to get it properly aligned and even then not as smooth when screwed on, when I took it off scratched some of the finish on the threads, no biggie though. I also love how when you screw the adjustment focus on the light all the way down, one of the "crowns" lines up perfectly with the on button, not sure if this was intentional but very nice touch!
Finish: Very smooth finish with the general rings of spun cut metal, looks machine spun because I got a better (Smoother) finish in metal shop with hand spun machines but no complaints. Coloring is smooth without any discolorations or blur marks. I got the matte black color but it still reflects light, probably cause its metal. Overall very satisfied and as expected.
Dimensions: The photo makes juts look a little longer then they are in person. From the top to the bezel to the deepest part of the groove is about 0.8cm and the overall height of the bezel is about 2.1 cm just about 0.5cm longer then the original bezel.
Function: Does exactly what is suppose to do. I had my friend jab me over a medium cotton sweater with a normal bezel and this and you can definitely feel the difference. I also had him twist the light a little and I was very aware of when he twisted, left little scratched (no skin breaks) on my stomach. I could see it cutting skin if you do this really hard. I didn't have my friend whack me with it on the side but I'd imagine that the slight loss of weight would be well compensated by the pointed edge and slight increase in reach. I keep this on my belt with one of those belt holsters slightly offset towards my back and when I wear short sleeves I don't bump into it occasionally gotten mostly a few scratched maybe 1-2 light cuts initially but nothing major and pushed it a little further back and solved the issue.
Complaints: As with everyone else it is a little pricey. I got my maglite for about 26 shipped which was all that aluminum, all the circuitry, reflector, lens, o-rings. spring, not to mention a bulb where a replacement costs about $15-20 dollars. A little hard to swallow paying more for just a bezel. Also You'd think for all that money they would at least include and extra o-ring that presses the bezel to the lens, not a big deal but would have been nice. Also not to sure if this will push your maglite into a weapon category?
Overall: No regrets in buying this product. Gives the flashlight a more menacing look to deter would-be... punks? lol. Also has the function to back it up if confronted. Excellent quality and finish with a good fit. Now if you can reduce the price by 5 bucks, give free shipping (usps first class is fairly cheap), and include an O-ring it would be a perfect 5-star addition to a maglite!

Awesome product, it fits and seals perfectly, just like an original Mag-Lite bezel. Great added protection, and function. My only complaint is the price, the bezel cost more then the flash light it fits. Although, I have this installed on a 4D with the Teralux LED conversion and it makes for one great light, I prefer it over my streamlights.Best Deals for X Cape Cap Maglite C or D Bezel Upgrade
Pimp your Maglite and pay the Pimpers price. Nice, well built, cool and raises the status of the Maglite to Tactical. Yes its pricey and I'm guessing these are produced in small qualities from a small cottage type business. As far as the complains about shipping, well that's the Amazon way, small volume vendors don't have any say so here. Doesn't come with any instructions.Had no more problems screwing this Bezel on/off then the original. The plastic lens pops right out of the original Bezel. Clean the lens while its out of the Bezel.
Tip 1: Take the batteries out first to eliminate the pressure on the reflector and the Bezel. Tip 2: Be sure to use a rag or padding over the teeth to protect your hand from serious injury, the teeth are sharp. Tip 3: Make sure you remove the GASKET/O RING from the original Bezel that lies between the plastic lens and the top of the Bezel. Be very careful when removing gasket, if you don't have proper tools for working on small devices use a tooth pick, the gasket can be easily cut or damaged from a knife or sharp metal object. If you damage the gasket or lens you'll have to purchase new from Maglite.
Would of given five stars if it had at least come with some instructions or safety tips.

High quality tactical upgrade for full size Maglite.This product is well made and exactly replaces the original bezel.
The crown tops are narrowed enough to induce damage, but not so that you may accidentally cut your skin.
I paired this with, Maglite D Cell Flashlight glass breaking Tail Cap X Cape Cap, for a 3 D cell Maglite that I keep in the driver's door of my truck.
