I have had a lifelong journey of looking for a low profile cap with no emblems and no allegiance to any team. I just wanted a black hat a simple black hat. I found this one by chance and I went ahead and bought it with the drawback of not being able to try it on. I have tried on the one size hats at the local hat store and they would not cover my head as I would like and always felt like it wouldn't come down enough and it was merely sitting on the top of my head uncomfortably. Most low profile hats don't feel like they come down and touch the tops of behind my ears when its on my head. I usually don't like adjustable hats but I decided that it wouldn't be that big of a deal which it isn't and since most low profile hats don't fit me right it would be o.k. To my surprise it fit me absolutely perfect just like I wanted it too and I could pull it down as far as I wanted and the top didn't look like one of my brothers trucker hats. The price is cheap and its perfect for me so I feel like I got a good deal.

Update

After a couple years or so it has finally started to fall apart and I decided to get another. The exact same hat and model number from Amazon yet the new one fits completely different and I might even say uncomfortable. Its not really that low profile nor does it come over my face much. I noticed this new one is made in Bangladesh and the good one I have from the first purchase is made in China. The difference is noticeable in the looks and the fit. I really don't like the new one at all but decided for the price not to send it back. I noticed there are eight stitches on the hats bill for the good fitting made in China hat that I love. The other is four stitches so know this my review is for a different hat but I guess they no longer have it anymore. I even used my past purchases to go into the page to purchase the hat and I also the model number is the exact same though it is a different hat. Last note the picture on the profile of the item isn't the same as I received. So maybe they just sent the wrong hat. I don't know but beware and know that the hat I got the first time was the hat of the Gods.

I am cursed with a big head. That means I can't buy hats in most stores. Hardly anyone has a XXXL hat size. So I always have to buy on line. My Dr. says I must wear a hat when I am outside in the sun (skin cancer problem). Here's another problem, I'm always leaving/losing hats everywhere.

Discovering this hat was perfect. Low Profile Dyed Cotton Twill Cap Black W39S55DAt about 1/3 the price I usually pay I can lose these hats and it's not the end of the world. The hats look and fit great. The quality is every bit as good as the higher priced hats. I am now one happy camper in the hat department!

I have bought quite a few hats this year. I've always liked baseball hats, but not the way I look in them. And, there are times and places where you need a hat. Most of the hats I have bought are cheap, or the bill is flat/odd, or the hat is too tall(I'm not an umpire!), or there is something else going on that makes me dislike it. None of that is a problem with this hat. One more thing: I am very particular about what I wear.

Color The hat is a good black, not an 'optical blue'. If you soak it a few times, it releases a lot of dye, but retains its color. After several months, lots of sun, and occasional rain, it is still black. I have a couple of other colors; they are all true to the pictures, bleed color initially if soaked(but retain their color) and look good. (In case you're wondering, I soak all my hats and bandanas to get the excess dye out of them. I have been caught in heavy rain with a new hat and had it bleed all over my clothes.)

Shape The bill is exactly the right shape. There is no need to bend, shape, or wear it sideways. The shape of the hat makes it clear how it should be worn. The low profile is also good. It sits pretty much right on top of your head, without much space. The hat doesn't have panel backings or anything to make it round in the front and crushed in the back; it's the same all around.

Overall, this is a really good all-around hat, and if you want a low-profile hat, you will like it in many colors. The reason I gave it only 4 stars is that because it's not shaped, the front of the hat may tend to fold in around the seam on the front panels. That said, it is still a great hat.

I have a lot of hats but almost all of them have some type of logo on them (usually for a sports team or brand). Many times this isn't a problem, except when I'm wearing a t-shirt, sweatshirt, etc that also contains some type of message, logo, brand, etc. I don't want to look like a "super fan" or a retail marquee with matching or mis-matched logos when wearing a hat.

So I've always been in the market for a good fitting, no-logo, hat. I finally found it. I have this hat currently in two colors and I ordered a third. The quality was much better than I imagined (considering the affordable price).
