I own several styles of Kangol's and wish there were more reviews on them on Amazon. It's tough to know how a Kangol is going to to fit ahead of time since you usually can't go to the mall and try on all their styles, especially the more obscure ones like this item. I own the Bamboo Geez in brown, size Large. I'm normally a 7 3/8 in New Era 5950 baseball caps if that helps.

To compare this Bamboo Geez to the Classic 504 Ventair, which is probably Kangol's most popular standard hat, this Bamboo Geez is MUCH more sleeker. It has a shorter brim. It fits slightly tighter in the head-area, giving it a more form-fitted contoured look.

The hat is made of almost 50% bamboo, so that's a very cool feature. The hat is surprisingly soft to the touch given the bamboo, which you might initially think might be stiff. Noto so, the Bamboo's are very soft and comfortable.

Also, it does lay very flat, if you were packing it for a trip. I personally store mine stacked on top of each other in a dresser drawer. If you were hoping for the cool kangaroo logo on the hat though, sorry, it's not there. There's just a little sewn on "KANGOL" on the left side, which I actually prefer since it's not as loud/ attention-drawing.

I should mention that the brim is padded with a little plastic foam padding. I personally love this since it helps keep the shape, without adding too much bulk/weight. It's a little piece of extra quality that you get from Kangols that you learn to appreciate.

I agree with the other reviewer Eric, though, that the fit is a little loose, but only in one area. It's really in the area around the wide/side edge of the brim, basically in between my temple & ears. It kind of sticks out/ flares out a bit too much. I've tried shaping the brim to get it to tighten up a bit, but it still looks slightly off. If you're in-between sizes, you might want to go down on this one.

Overall though, the Bamboo Geez is a good-looking classic driving cap. I personally like the Bamboo Clery better, but that one is a little bulkier/ heavier. I actually end up wearing the Geez a lot. It's one of my favorites and I've since bought a couple more colors since I liked it so much.

This is a comfortable flat cap. It's thin weave makes it suited for the summer and in my opinion, better looking than the vented ones. Slightly more eco-friendly by making 45% of it out of bamboo. The padded brim doesn't seem as high quality as my traditional wool Kangol cap. The cap also seems a little looser fitting than the wool 504.

I've never owned a cap like this in the past, and wasn't sure I would even like it, but I wanted to take a chance. I don't regret my purchase one bit! I love wearing this cap, and the first day I wore it, I was getting compliments left and right. It's also probably the most comfortable piece of head-wear I've ever had. I'm tempted to even buy a few more in different colors because I love it so much.

I ignored the reviews that talked about the "loose fitting area of the hat between the ears and temples"

I ordered it and sure enough, there's just way too much fabric there; it appears to be the wrong size, even though it fit.

Received the hat earlier this week and have received numerous compliments over the past two days. Used the sizing guide and it fits perfectly. Bamboo material presents a very nice appearance. The hat is not too wide and just looks sharp. Especially nice to wear when driving top down in the cabriolet. Will definite consider Kangol's other models.
