This hat is perfect for long walks or just shuffling between buildings in winter. The faux fur on the inside provides some insulation. It keeps me head warm in temperatures down to 10 F degrees with the flaps up or down depending on the wind chill. I normally wear a 7 3/4" diameter hat size, but ordered a 60CM circumference or 7.5" diameter for a snug fit on the windy days. It gives me a perfect fit with the flaps up or down. The curved bill blocks the sun well too.

The delivery was several weeks because it was out of stock, and had to come Sweden. It was worth the price and wait time. This is an attractive, and very well made hat.

The faux fir on the inside is very soft and shields your head from the cold winds. The hat fits and looks the same with the ear flaps open or tucked inside. The nylon exterior should repel rain and snow but I don't believe it is totally waterproof. In my opinion, Wigens makes quality caps and hats. I recommend this cap and also the Wigens Polar Fleece Cap.
