My head is oddly shaped, on the large side, and doesn't fit most hats. I have the velcro strap 2/3 of the way over, and it fits like a glove. I imagine this hat would fit most adults. The material is soft and nylon-y, perfect for repelling rain and absorbing sweat. I haven't yet, but this looks easy to hand wash. Most importantly, it is super light. It barely feels like your wearing anything on your head.

I bought this for my husband and I used it because it was extremely lightweight. I did yard work on a very hot muggy day and my head stayed relatively cooler than with other caps, yes the cap got drenched. How did I know it was drenched? When I took it off I noticed the white salt marks from heavy sweating. I swished the cap in soapy water, rinsed, and hung it to drip dry, I opened the Velcro fastener, looped it around the drying rack rod and in less an hour it was dry! By the way, I love it so much that I bought three more of them. The visor is a great length and width with a nice curve to it too.
