Had this hat for about a month now. Stays clean, brim stays firm, sits nice on my head, and keeps the sun out of my eyes.

I kind of look like a B-list Indiana Jones but I've never had a hat I enjoyed wearing more than this one.

My Haven hat was given to me as a gift about three years ago. Since then it has traveled all over creation in some of the harshest and most inclement conditions imaginable and if anything, it is more beautiful and more cool in appearance now than it was fresh out of the box. It has been dropped, crushed, once it was even run over by a delivery truck and it still is my preferred hat for almost all conditions. The only thing keeping me from giving it that fifth star is that in the winter, when the temp drops below freezing, the hat gets cold. It does not hold heat as well as say a wool fedora would, but if you throw a buff or something over your head before you put it on, it solves the problem. The only other problem that I have with it is keeping my friends and strangers alike from stealing it for their own use. Tough, weatherproof, very cool looking and a bargain at the price, I cannot recommend this hat highly enough.

The dog ate my last one. Had to replace it. My hat has been in the jungle, to the top of several 14,000ft plus peaks on three different continents and is a critical piece of my survival gear.

This is the second of these hats that I have had. I bought the first directly from the outfit that made them in Seattle. I don't know if they make them anymore their website is shut down I was thrilled to find that the hat was still available on Amazon. With that said, it is not EXACTLY the same hat as the original. It looks the same; same stitching etc. but the material weight of the brim and the top of the hat is lighter. But that is OK.

I still have my original. I bought this one to keep in my truck. My original one is unquestionably the best hat I have ever owned and I expect that the second one will do just as well. I don't know why they call it a "winter" hat heck, I wear it almost daily, summer and winter and love it. I use mine as a hunting and fishing hat and it has been to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back and all over Lake Powell and on pack trips far back up in the mountains of Colorado.

You won't go wrong with this hat it is damn near indestructable and just keeps on going and looking good !!!
