Has a type of soft suede finish on the bottom of the rim so if you roll the sides up that is what'll be seen but other than that it is a good buy and does look really nice. I'll seal it with Mink Oil and it should be OK as I'm not going to wear it constantly like my all leather or wool hats. Just something different and new to play with. ;>) The label I got does say it is a small and I ordered a medium but don't know it this is normal for Mexican made hats? A little tight but if it'll give some it'll be fine. I will use a stretcher on it to gain the room needed and it will be fine. It isn't a Stetson or Pendleton but for what it is I'll order another one when this one get well worn.

The product doesn't seem to be genuine leather as was told to me. The brim of hat turns and forms upward in the front.

Would not buy again.
