The knit part black is small and doesn't cover far into the collar front or back and is too thin . I find the hat quite ugly but it is light and comfortable as well as much cheaper then my preferred OR Rando Hat ( way too expensive but so darn good ) . I purchased the carhartt in orange for deer season trail walking with orange gloves a legal requirement in my State is to have 2 high visibility items in HV orange when on trails in hunting areas during season so your not shot by accident hopefully. Deer are color blind . I paid full price for this hat and feel it was worth the money no problem there at all .Will be part of my car safety kit incase I forget the Rando . Winter anywhere that gets below freezing can be dangerous and so often I see people whom drive in stormy cold weather in cars they warmed up without even coats and you never know when you can have a accident or flat tire . You must prepare for your own safety and that of your loved ones .

This beanie is amazing, super warm, comfotable, super breathable(you don't have to take power breaths to breathe through the face mask) and just everything you want when hunting season ocmes around to keep you noticable. I highly reommend this beanie
