I really prefer the skull cap over the Halo sweat band, which I also use (just for running now). I've used them both for mountain biking and the sweat band tends to get pushed down when I put my helmet on while the skull cap stays put. The white mesh part is also nice as it reflects the sum and keeps my head cool when I take my helmet off for long climbs. I have a large head this fits me well, it may be a bit too big for smaller heads.

Well made, but the band is too wide especially on the back and sides. The band also comes down too far over the ears and the back of the neck.

Been using the Halo II headbands for a few years now under my cycling helmet. Bought this to help keep bugs and other falling objects from falling though my helmet vents and becoming a distraction while riding. Works great for that.

Like other reviewers have mentioned, this fits much differently than the headbands from Halo. If I pull it all the way down, it sits too low and covers most of my ears. To deal with this fit issue, I adjust it to a comfortable position where a headband would normally sit and not all the way down. I like it just fine now after wearing it this way. Helmet on top is comfortable, sunglasses still fit where they should.

Works as good, if not better, in terms of keeping sweat out of my eyes and off my face during rides. It does get a noticeably (if only slightly) hotter than just a headband when riding on days warmer than 80F. It does cover the entire head, so this was expected. This will be my go to baselayer for cooler rides now.

Fabric, construction and design all seem excellent and I'd recommend to anyone UNLESS you have a large head. The problem with one-size-fits-all sizing is that if you have an unusually large head any head gear is really uncomfortable and that's the case with this for me I wear size 63 or 64 hats and this is simply too tight. If your head is up at that size I'd recommend the Protex Skull cap with tie (also by Halo) which is looser and fits me perfectly.

As a "mature" rider whose hair is thinning, I needed something more than a device that would simply direct sweat away from my eyes. The Halo Skull Cap protects the top of my head while diverting sweat away from my eyes and promoting the evaporation of sweat through the material's excellent wicking action. Good stuff.
