I've had this hat for ten years. After about five years the band wore of and I had to fix it. I've taken this hat every where with me and it's worn about three times a week. With some good water proofing...mainly mink oil...the hat has seen more rain then any umbrella I've ever owned. It's crush-able and packs away nicely into a messenger bag or suitcase. The leather is rugged quality, thick and tough. Good stuff.

This hat was purchased to replace one like it that was given to someone who admired it. Yep, it's that good! Love it. Want to get the softer, crushable suede one, too.

This may be my best purchase yet. I wear a 7 3/4 size baseball cap and I ordered the XL version of this Outback hat. Let me make this perfectly clear; it is definitely a cowboy hat. I feel like an outlaw wearing this beast, and that's how I like it. This hat is large and in charge, that's for sure. This hat fits my head perfectly. It's heavy and doesn't get blown around, but the brim is shapeable so you can bend the brim down in the front if you want and shape it to your liking. It's a definite must buy if you need something to keep the sun off your neck or the rain off your head. Would buy again in a heartbeat.

Oh, and it got to my doorstep three days earlier than was estimated by Amazon. What a deal, seriously.

I like the item (hat) I purchased but not the same exact hat thats on the picture, the hat in the picture it showed on the site had a indentation on the crown of the hat like a diamond shape but what I got was a flat round top on the crown I would have prefered the one thats in the picture. But i did recieve it in the time it said . A different style shouldnt be sent than whats in the picture though.
