My husband absolutely LOVES this hat and he looks pretty snazzy in it too. He says when he is working outside or on a roof with the sun beating down on his head and back that this hat is a life saver. It has a solid top to block the sun but between the top and the hatband is about 4 inches of ventilated material, allowing the air to flow through to cool the head, and also allowing the hat to be crushed flat for travel. The hatband also supposedly wicks the sweat away. Be sure to measure head size and get a perfect fit.
The packaging was top notch. It was packed as if sending the most expensive fedora through UPS. One end had popped open and I thought someone had opened it but after closer inspection I realized that a much heavier box had been dropped on it or it was very roughly handled by UPS. Thankfully, it WAS packaged so well, with air pockets, cardboard and form fitting materials. No worries ordering from this exceptional company. Thanks to Amazon for fulfilling for Coolibar.

Yes, there are cheaper hats. But this hat works great. Springs out of the suitcase and looks like was stored in a hat box. Stays on great and has a certain style my husband love. This is so great, got one for my Dad too. Highly recommend!

My skin cancer doctor insisted I get a really wide brim hat. She said that T****** were popular, but too expensive and didn't have a wide enough brim. I got this one and it seems really nice. I'm not much of a hat person, but since digging a chunk of skin cancer off my nose the doctor's advice is something I'm going to heed from now on. So good bye barehead days and welcome to the days of cover up. Nice hat. Light weight. Seems like it will work being smashed down in a suitcase and then resume its shape.
