I keep my hair really short year round so when the winter arrives I usually need some supplemental headgear.
I bought this because I was looking for something a little bit nicer than the dollar-store beanie I had been using. The color, at least to me is an interweave of brown and black The seams are a well done double and cross-stitching with 6 flaps sewn together at the top. This causes bunching due to all the stitching where the 6 panels meet at the top and it is a bit off center. Bad enough to subtract 2 stars (but not bad enough to send it back).
The fabric is a single layer knit acrylic. Bear in mind it is pretty thin and has fairly large gaps as you may expect with a knit (when I hold it up to light I can see through one layer) so it isn't for very cold conditions. Probably fine down to about 30 degrees fahrenheit at which point I think you'd need to upgrade to something more heavy duty.
They have a tastefully done stitched in logo that enhances the look. Also, it is made in Canada which is a refreshing change from the 'made in China' label (the label also says it is machine washable on cold and tumble dry low). I'm not sure this beanie is worth the extra cost over the cheaper alternatives.
