Being 58 years old, and living in Michigan most of my life, you'd think I'd already have a favorite winter's hat that was nice and toasty warm. Well you'd be wrong. At least till recently.

After a recent snowfall, while out shoveling the driveway, I made up my mind to never have them ol ski hat blues again.

I wanted something warmer, and more comfortable.

I recalled having a "bomber" or "aviator" hat when I was a kid. I wasn't sure if they even made them anymore.

So..I started poking around Amazon, and sure enough there were plenty to choose from.

I didn't notice any manufacturer offering real fur just the faux fur.

Okay, if the faux stuff works just as good as the real stuff, I'm good with it. Besides looking at other websites that offer real fur, they are asking for real money as well. $200 to $500 easily and more. Yikes! I don't need a hat made from badger or coyote anyway. Back to Amazon.

Well, the price was right, it's made from leather so its water proof, and here's what really sold me...It's Anti-Static!!!!!

Now if you've ever worn a ski hat in the dry outdoor winter air, you know that when taking the ski hat off, one's hairdo closely resembles the doo of Justin Beiber. Not for me. The Ushanka Trooper hat wins.

Placed my order and received my hat in about 5 biz days.

I am one happy camper. Or should I say one happy comrade.

The day after I received the hat, we got another Michigan snowstorm. (go figger) Grabbed my Ushanka, my snowblower, and a cup of coffee, and off I went.

The hat was extremely comfortable, and very warm!!!! It was everything I had hoped for. And the price was right-on.

I would certainly recommend this hat to anyone...unless you are actually trying to look like Justin Bieber.

I viewed multiple trooper hats before deciding of this one. When I received it I thought it looked better than it was depicted. I was impressed with its construction and felt the faux fur, inner lining and the outer leather (mine is black) were of high quality.

If you're looking for a aviator trooper hat, you can buy this one and not be disappointed.

I was pleasantly surprised as to how short a time the delivery took. I received the item within four days of clicking "order", with no problems whatsoever. Bought this hat as a gift for my 85 y/o father to keep his head and ears warm when out side in the cold. I did notice the hat had fur around the face and ear covers and not inside of the head portion got to thinking if pops was going to like the hat, well he likes it a lot he said "This hat is very warm and keeps the cold off my head and ears" so I am very happy with this gift purchase.
