A better description of this product may have avoided the disappointment. It's thin. The wool is a breezy, summer weight jersey, thin. The coverage is thin, too. Stingiest brim I've ever encountered on a cycling cap and the ear flaps only cover the top third of your ears. Thin. I ride all year in MN and have an entire drawer of cycling use headwear. I'd put this cap in the 'helmet liner when it's fair and ~40f' bin. Of the multitude of Ibex wool bits I own, this one was not money well spent.

I love, love, love this cap. It's not what I expected when I ordered this hat. I got this impression it was thicker and had structure but it does NOT. Which is great for me. I'm using this hat for a 1,500 mile bike tour. I wanted one hat that I could where riding on chillier mornings with a brim. This hat is great because it's flexible enough that I can sleep in it as well.

The feel is very similar to a Smartwool beanie but with more ear and upper neck coverage.

While the other reviewer was disappointed in how thin this cap is, I really love it! It fits great under my helmet, and keeps my head just warm enough. It keeps my ears warm enough too, without making me feel like I'm wearing ear muffs. It is more for Fall riding than Dead-of-Winter riding, but I find myself wearing it climbing, and camping too for it's slim fit and groovy design.

This hat is thin but it fits perfectly underneath a bicycle helmet and that is where this hat really shines. The only thing that I would like them to change about it is to add just a bit more length on the ear flap. I have an average sized head and my ear lobes are either just barely covered or uncovered an extra CM or two would make this hat perfect.
