Great idea gone bad. It's a great product for people who have square heads and straight necks. I don't have a head different from the average Joe so I figured this would be great for sun protection. Wrong. The back of the hat had no slack on the "adjustable elastic" Didn't even come with the advertised shirt clip, and the cape on the back of the hat kept rolling upward exposing my neck, thus getting burned. I think it'd be great if the size was larger, and more fabric stitched properly for proper fit around neck.

Nice design with good materials. Unfortunately the problem is the size. There is a problem getting the darned thing on comfortably....its tight! As mentioned by previous purchaser, it is sized for children, I have to agree. What purpose is there to have an adjusting cord, unless of course you have a smaller head?

Sorry to say, disappointing, as I have bought Columbia products in the past with satisfaction.

On the face of it, this product looks great. Hoewever, there is no adjustment to make the hat bigger, as it appears to be sized for children. This is not a One-Size hat has advertised, so be warned.

PROS:

It's light as a feather and serves it's purpuse.

CON:

One of the rope straps became undone during its third use while I jogged with it hanging from my hydration pack. That was disappointing for an expensive hat from a well-known manufacturer.
