It's a good hat-I got it for a costume and wrote on the front. It looked great! If you just want it as a regular hat or for part of a costume, I would recommend it.

I bought this hat to go with a costume and it did the job I needed it to do. I was even able to use a fine / medium sharpie and decorate the plain front and was pleasantly surprised to find that the ink didn't bleed much at all. It actually looked really, really good and I got a lot of compliments.

The hat *does* tend to ride up high on your head after you've worn it for a while, giving you that classic "dork" look of someone with a very big forehead, but since it was for a fairly silly costume, I didn't mind this too much. Just be aware that it won't likely sit perfectly flat on your head for long. Other than that, enjoy. It's cheap, it got here quickly, and it was a great "blank canvas" for some impromptu artwork that impressed the friends. Can't ask for much more than that.
