This is my second hat from Outdoor Research. It arrived on time and with all tags attached. This hat is great for working or playing in the sun. It breathes very well and does a great job of keeping the sun off your neck too. The bonus for me is the bug shield which does keep all insects away from your upper body. I would highly recommend this hat to everyone who burns easily like me!

Great hat for the beach. My wife or I wore it everyday at the beach and/or when we went bike riding. Not sure it does anything to keep bugs away and I don't know if I really want to find out either. Keeps your head cool on warms days. I think I'll wear it next time I play golf.

This is great hat against sun. The wide brim stays (so far anyway) flat, it does not collapse and it shields eyes and ears from the sun. I always burn my ears from the top; a ball cap does not help there.

I am not sure about the bug repellent nature, one way or another.

This hat comes in sizes and it is important to know. I was able to stretch mine a bit with a spreader clamp and a piece of lumber, but the give is minimal. I bought medium size, because it was on sale, but large would have been much better.

Measure as per various available instructions the circumference of your head where the hat will be worn and order according to that. If it doubt, order larger! There is a string that can make the fit tighter, but not the other way round.

great fitting hat....very cool and does the job keeping bugs away....nats are a big problem here makes it hard to work outside with them...this solves the problem of them getting around my eyes and ears.
