If you are looking for the perfect hat to protect your face and the back of your neck, this is the hat for you. It is very light weight, yet the rim is sturdy enough to handle the wind I face when I am out on our boat. Whether fishing or just boating, this hat works for me! When we get above 20 mph, I do have to hold onto the hat as the wind tends to catch the brim and try to take it off. However, with the adjustable tie and my hand holding the brim down, the hat stays securely on my head. It keeps my head cool and shades me from the damaging rays. I highly recommend this product for those who are looking for more protection that just a ball cap.

Most comfortable sun hat I have owned. Light weight and you barely know you have something on your head but does a great job protecting you from the sun.High quality and I would not hesitate to buy this brand again.The chin strap really holds the hat on in high winds and the pull cord for sizing also helps.Same fast service I have always received from Amazon.

ahh, this is the best sun hat. I am a sun hat pro of twenty five years. I bought this last year and wore it all last year. love it. comfortable, easy to wear, cool. most wonderful hat.
The adult sun hat is much larger!!!!! If you are petite buy this, or you are using this for atheltic stuff buy the smaller hat, the larger, basic hat can be too floppy!!!! My sister took my hat and I ended up with the basic adult hat and its too big.
This is the best hat size!!!!! unless you are over 5'6 and a total couch person.

I'm very sensitive to the sun and have to seriously limit my exposure. I bought this hat to wear under my helmet while bike riding and it works perfectly. It's so lightweight it doesn't bunch up under my helmet or make my head hot, the brim is stiff enough that it doesn't flap around (actually, it doesn't move at all) while I ride even in strong wind. The neck flap stays in place well over the back of my neck, and the wide visor perfectly shades the sides of my face. The slant of the bill is great for when the sun is at low angles, and doesn't block my vision at all. It definitely does increase drag, and sometimes a strong gust will catch under it and push my helmet back a bit, but that's going to happen with any kind of helmet sun protection and it's never impeded my riding. It also doesn't limit my peripheral vision. I can imagine this hat would be great for jogging or any kind of exercise due to its super light weight and stiff brim. It's also comfortable for just strolling around in the sun, and hardly messes up your hair since it's so light. Highly recommended for all activities!

I needed a hat that I could wear sailing. Sailing requires wind and wind blows the brims up on most hats, making them useless. Baseball type caps don't protect enough of my face. I have tried many styles and brands. Finally, I found a hat whose brim doesn't blow up and it gives good protection. The Sunday Afternoon design is perfect for sailing.
