I picked up this hat for my tip to New York state this past February. I was pleased on how well this hat kept my ears insulated from the cold. I usually don't purchase black but this time I was glad I did, the extra heat absorption from the sun allowed me to spend 6-8 hours per day outside exploring the countryside.

I bought this for skiing, it's very soft and comfortable yet it's kinda thin. I wouldn't wear it when it's super cold out
