This sweat beanie is perfect. I wear it under a motorcycle helmet. Can use for off-road or on-road riding, also for mountain biking, bmx, blading etc. Keeps sweat out of my eyes and protects helmet liner from unnecessary fouling up.

I have been using a Halo headband to keep sweat from dripping into my eyes or onto my cycling glasses. Does the job well but it tends to change the positioning of my helmet, often pushing it up from the back a bit. Just the nature of a headband. I got a skullcap so that my helmet sits where I want it to and stays there. I have a huge head, the only helmet I've found to fit me is the Bell XLV, and its often hard to get a comfortable fit on my head.

The first day I put this on was a warm late May day in the Bay Area, if it was going to soak up sweat this was going to be a good day to test it. First thing I noticed was that it was comfortable and actually fit my head. It didn't make my head unbearably hot. I was a bit apprehensive that this might be a bald guys only thing but it fit over my short hair very well. On my hour ride to work I had one drop of sweat land on my glasses but I also noticed I had it high up in the front near my hairline. So on my ride home I wore it lower on my forehead and extended my ride to two hours with some nasty uphill climbs in 80+ degree heat in direct sunlight to really see how it worked. Awesome. No sweat dripping in my eyes or glasses. I could feel a drop or two in the ear area but I'm fine with that. Great purchase. I have to hand to to Pearl Izumi, everything they make for cycling is quality.

I have four of these in different colors. For a hair-challenged individual like me, they are perfect anytime in cool weather and for sports and work in cold weather. They are stretchy and fit me just like the product picture snug around the edges, slightly baggy at the crown and big enough to mostly cover my ears. Folded or wadded, they fit any pocket a handkerchief will go in. Not cheap, but a good value.
