Let's be serious here. I have a big head. I admit it. I am also aware of the damage the sun can do to your face, ears and neck. I'm okay with wearing a wide-brim hat. Sure, I get laughed at but I'll be laughing at their sunburned ears/neck/face because they thought their 'ball-cap' was so cool looking.
Then I came across this hat... finally, I won't look like Farmer Brown anymore & better yet, they make it in a size that won't squeeze the life out of my big melon!
The facts: lightweight, 100% polyester, no liner in the crown[perfect for the summer heat], 4 screened brass eyelets, chin strap, wide-brim [3 1/2 inch wide], plenty of room in the crown [4 inches deep], it floats, the polyester has a 'soft' feel to it, did I mention that it fits my melon?
Bottom line: the price is right, the quality is there & it comes in large sizes [I need around a 8 to 8 1/8 size hat -I got the 3XL size for some extra room and I love the way it fits! I would recommend this product for my fellow big heads who have issues with finding a large enough hat. Trust me, I went to many, many traditional retails stores looking for a product such as this.

Aside from being very disapointed with the flimsy/cheesey draw string & cordlock attachment... it is a pretty good hat. Since the polyester is much thinner than the cotton boonie hats, it makes the hat fit larger than anticipated. I probably could have ordered the smaller 2xl instead. I have plenty of room for a bandana underneath. The "toy" drawstring was promptly replaced with tan 550 paracord.

First hat that fits properly (head measurement 25 1/2". Fist time wearing it, worked outside for hours with out a headache and got great sun protection. Great Price! Happy with purchase! Quality appears to be commensurable to pricing. Durability & floatability to be determined.

I got the size 2XL for my large head. Roomy and comfy hat. I do need the drawstrings in even a light breeze. Brim is stiff enough to stay in place, not floppy. The nylon hat is a bit too hot in warmer weather. Could use some better ventilation around the headband.
