Quality is extremely impressive. the picture does the quality no justice. I was unsure of what size to get. The Large size range ends at 7-3/8. I wear a 7-3/8 exactly so I was concerned that it would fit a little tight. It is a bit snug, but NOT uncomfortable by any means, so if your size is at the very end of a particular size range, have no fear and don't size-up. The sizing is true. This is the coolest hat i have ever owned.

Somewhere between a fedora and a cowboy hat, the brim is fairly wide on this one and the top is pinched. Typical "mafia hat". Downturned front and back brims retain their shape after bending them, though you can lift the front brim up a bit if you like. Try this on with a quality overcoat and you'll see why fedoras of this style are still worn today.
Definitely more professional than a beanie or an angry birds hat. There aren't many professional winter hat options for men these days, and I refuse to wear the short-brimmed $5 fedoras being sold today. You can probably get away with wearing a laced up ushanka in the winter with your suit, but you'll look like less of an immigrant with the bailey curtis. This is not just for old people; I'm in my 20s. You can wear it at a slight tilt sideways for a fresher look.

Yep, this is a good hat alright. I've never had any bad experiences yet with Bailey hats, and I have a few. The only reason I RELUCTANTLY gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it doesn't have an inside liner. But it is still extremely comfortable/warm. And I have worn it in the rain without any damage.

Shipping was prompt and in good packaging. The hat arrived in perfect condition. I did have a shipping question and Del Monico responded immediately and personally. I appreciate good service and this company delivers. The hat itself looks sharp and is well constructed. I haven't tested out the "crushable" claims, but I rarely test that feature on my hats! The hat is a very nice value as a daily wearer. At the price, you won't worry about it like you do your pricey Borsalino. Perfect for the cooler weather when my Panamas feel out of season. The hat does seem to run about 1/16 of an inch or so larger than other hats I've had that call themselves "x-large," but no big deal. Hat wearers are used to tweaking and adapting such things. Everybody's noggin is different! I will buy more hats from Del Monico. They have a great selection and treat their customers well.

We'd been looking for a nice fedora for my fiance for some time and couldn't find any for a larger sized head. This one was perfect. And not only did it fit, but it looks fantastic too. Well made, sturdy felt, good stitching. I couldn't wait for Christmas to give it to him. I'd definitely recommend this hat and this company too. It was shipped quickly and with great care.
