It keeps my head cool with the materail its made of,(its a netting on the inside). With the back down on the cap it keeps the sun off the back of my neck and ears. I love it. It works for me. Sonny

I wear glasses and the extra long bill offers plenty of shade. Also, I had to fish a bass tournament in the rain this weekend and the waterproof feature came in handy. I would recommend this hat.
