My only complaint about this hat is that when you button the ear flaps under your chin, they can tend to chaff your neck a little bit. However, as I said I have a big head, and this could be a result of that instead of poor design.
I will say to avoid Delmonico hatters. I paid for expedited shipping (I thin $10-15 more), and the hat took 8-9 days to actually get to me. If my flight had not been delayed, I wouldn't have even received the hat on time.

First off I wear a hat almost all the time (I've given up trying to cut my hair in ways that don't scream "hey, that's a bald guy that just got a hair cut" so I shave my head every few days and hence the hat as a necessary dudes accessory). I prefer to not wear baseball caps as I may be confused with the pizza guy delivery guy (not that there's anything wrong with showing up with pie mind you) but I'm a techie engineer type and have to be "presentable" when I'm out on sales calls or demos so unless the customer wears ball caps I probably shouldn't either. I have about half a dozen Kangol caps mostly Ventair and 504's but wanted something a little different wanting to stay with the brand which is a bit expensive but I think pretty high quality I came across the Bugatti style.Let me be clear here: I probably will never wear this with flaps down unless I'm in a snow storm and have to walk 12 miles to get to shelter or if I suddenly become 83 years old and am looking to be cast in the next "Grumpy Old Men" movie. Generally I wear these caps backwards so the Kangol logo is above my forehead and with the brim sticking out the back just above my neck.
So on to the hat: The brim is a little shorter than the 504 not a big deal unless you wear yours brim forward and rely on it to shield your eyes from the sun having a shorter brim is nice if you wear it "backwards" as it won't bother you while driving and the headrest from the car seat comes in contact with the hat.
The hat is _lined_ which isn't very apparent from the photos on-line I'll take pics and share them for this item. The lining is a "quilted" satin nice and comfy this is for sure a winter hat (in case you didn't get that from the inclusion of the ear flaps or being made out of wool)... With ear flaps up and worn backwards it has a different look than the typical 504 with a little more height almost giving it a "Russian" hat look or perhaps a brimless Stormy Kromer look. I will say that I generally wear a "large" size in all the Kangols I own and most other hats this version I think I should have chosen XL and may do so if I pickup the lighter gray color. I think the difference is the lining and that perhaps affects the overall "snugness" of the cap. I'll keep this one and see if it "breaks-in" with some wear or not.
Overall you can't go wrong with the Kangol Brand that's for sure. This is a nice addition to my "collection" if you don't tend to loose hats or want something with some style and quality this should be on your list.
Oh, two more things the hat did take a day or two extra to arrive not a huge deal I was in no hurry but I think others have mentioned that as well I received mine from a different vendor "shoebuy" and arrived when it was promised though longer than other items coming from farther way ordered at the same time packaging was excellent and arrived in perfect condition. Secondly the reason why I only have it 4 and not 5 stars was due to it's "snugness" nothing really wrong with the hat but sizing should be a bit more consistent with other models of the same brand I didn't verify with the sizing chart perhaps that might have indicated an XL.
